1. INTRODUCTION

Two programs offered by Pegasus at the Pre-intermediate level are Hotel Operations, and Cookery and Patisserie. These courses take from 6 months to 8 months with practical work being 70% of the study program. These hands-on training programs enhance the skills of students so that they can be job-ready in a professional working environment.

The Certificate in Hotel Operations best suits students who are seeking job opportunities in small and medium hotels. This course will provide the student with the necessary skills in serving food and beverage, housekeeping, front office and other areas of hotel operation.

2. COURSE OUTLINE

Entry requirements	17 year of age and older. Students must be 18 years old in the course of study.
English level requirements	Not compulsory. Students with basic English do get preference
Class size	Maximum 20 students per class
Course location	Pegasus International College in Da Nang. Pegasus International College in Hanoi.
Course delivery	Lectures, tutorials, practical and simulated sessions
Language of delivery	Vietnamese.
Language of assessment	Vietnamese.
Internship	Compulsory internship for 2 months at a star-rated hotel, resort or tourism enterprise. Internships may be paid for but not guaranteed. The College will arrange the most suitable units of practice according to the students’ learning outcomes, skills and interests.
Scholarship	Scholarships are available for suitable candidates. Potential students who are seeking a scholarship need to complete the scholarship application form. The scholarship will be determined based on academic merit and financial hardship. An interview will apply to all candidates.
