Business Management – Marketing (Pearson BTEC)

1. INTRODUCTION

Pegasus International College, in collaboration with the Pearson Education – UK, offers the BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business. This UK-based International Level 5 qualification is equivalent to a college Advanced Diploma within the education system of Vietnam. Designed with a modern, practice-oriented approach and aimed to maximize students’ ability to apply knowledge and skills in real-world context, the BTEC HND in Business assesses students through project-based learning, encouraging their analytical thinking, critical reasoning, personal responsibility and decision-making skills. Each learning module incorporates industry-relevant scenarios, with assessments based on presentations, practical reports or observation as well as project outcomes. This hands-on approach in learning and assessments enhances learners’ engagement, fosters independent research and develops lifelong learning skills.

The programme is delivered and assessed in English over 2 years, leading to the internationally recognised BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Business awarded by Pearson Education – UK.  The qualification is accredited by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), UK.

The BTEC HND is widely recognised by universities worldwide, as well as multinational employers and professional organisations across the UK and more than 100 countries. It serves as a strong foundation for career opportunities in multinational corporations or progression to over 1,500 degree programmes at 340 universities globally, in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance and Accounting.

    GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

    To be graduated and awarded the BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Business, students must fulfil the following criteria:

    • Attend a minimum of 80% of direct contact hours per module.
    • Complete all module assessments and the final research project as per programme requirements.
    • Adhere to academic integrity and institutional regulations and do not violate the law throughout the course of study.
