VTOS Housekeeping Service

1. INTRODUCTION

The course, Housekeeping Service According to VTOS Standards, is designed by Pegasus International College for all employees and housekeeping managers/deputy heads, to streamline and systematize housekeeping knowledge, skills and procedures of room operations in the hotel.

After the course, students will have the ability to perform room operations processes correctly and professionally (preparing and cleaning rooms, providing room services, handling laundry, etc.), meeting the requirements and expectations of customers during their hotel stay.

Course Objectives• Upon course completion, students will have knowledge and skills in the use of cleaning tools and cleaning chemicals, handle receiving tools and arranging strollers, perform guest room cleaning and laundry handling procedures as well as Lost & Found and minibar services.

• Students will have the ability to perform their work and follow procedures thoroughly, maintain professional work integrity, personal hygiene and cleanliness and be responsible for their work tasks in order to proactively serve customers.
Duration84 hours (including training, self-training, and assessment)
Target Audience• Employees of the Rooms Department of hotels, resorts or similar types (hereinafter collectively referred to as hotels) with at least 3 months of working experience.

• Anyone who would like to learn housekeeping service skills to serve supervisors and perform management work
Number of Students/classMaximum 20 students/class
Training Methods• Direct training at enterprises adopting a competency approach, learner-centred, focusing on practical skills, role-playing, and applying industry standards associated with the realistic, diverse and flexible needs of hotels.
• Implementation Model: Training and Evaluation:
- Phase 1: Learning with Instructors
- Phase 2: Self-training at the Enterprise
- Stage 3: Skills Assessment Exam
