1. INTRODUCTION

Training Program SIT31016 Bakery Technique - Certificate III is a 12-month full-time course, implemented through the partnership between Pegasus International College (Vietnam) and Pegasus School UniCollege, Training facility licensed by the Australian Government [license: RTO 31984].

Entry requirement Graduation from 12th grade. Those who have not graduated from grade 12 will be considered for admission through the Pegasus assessment
English Requirements
  • IELTS: 5.0 [no skill below 4.5] or equivalent. The student's certificates of English proficiency must not exceed 6 months by the time of the request or the student will be required to take the Placement Test.
  • Evidence of English proficiency is required.
  • Applicants not having the required English language skills may be granted conditional enrolment subject to undertaking an English Pathway course at the College
Tuition fees Fees are paid with a 40% deposit upon admission with the balance payable through an agreed installment plan.

Scholarship The scholarship will be applied to the suitable candidates. Students wishing to be considered for the scholarship must submit a separate application for the scholarship for consideration by the University. The scholarship level is determined based on academic performance and / or financial need of each candidate. All candidates wishing to receive a scholarship must participate in an interview.
Internship After completing the Certificate III study program, students need to do an internship at a 4 to 5 star hotel or resort. Internships may be supported by the hotel but this is not guaranteed depending on each hotel policy. The College will select the internship facility that best matches the students' learning outcomes, skills and aspirations. Students can practice abroad but this is not guaranteed. Internships abroad also depend on the student's visa conditions.
Further study pathway Student may choose to continue their studies at Pegasus by undertaking the remaining units for the SIT60316 Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management. This can be followed with a top-up degree – the Bachelor of Hospitality Management [or an equivalent degree such as Bachelor of Business] – this can be undertaken with a Pegasus university partner or college partner or other international university. The duration of this further study may be from 12 months to 2 years, depending on the university and/or country. Unless Pegasus has a specific articulation or credit transfer arrangement with the partner, application to study may be based on merit.
